RAMONE’S ROLE AT BLAST IT CLEAN
Ramone has been a humble presence in our operations team for about 3 years. He is a reliable team player who always works hard. We love Ramone’s mindset and adaptability.
WHAT MADE YOU PURSUE A JOB AT BLAST IT CLEAN?
It was on a job posting site and sparked my interest. At first, I was a little hesitant. But I was looking for something different and it was a different skill that had growth. Of course, I wanted stability and more money and it seemed like this fit the bill for that too. I’ve done a lot of jobs but this is definitely different. It’s a whole new adventure. You always have to be ready for change and always be open to learning.
WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT ASSET TO THE COMPANY?
I can fit into any team but I’m not hesitant to take charge or speak my mind. I just like to take my time to analyze the situation and get a grasp before I open my mouth. I think it’s important to share ideas on improvement and always be looking for the best solutions. Be aware and be vocal- communication is key!
WHAT DO YOU FIND THE MOST CHALLENGING? REWARDING?
Most challenging is when things don’t run smoothly, but that’s life. There is a lot of time and prep so I don’t like mistakes but we also accommodate pretty well. It helps to work as a team and stay optimistic. Just keep moving forward! Making the customers happy is probably the most rewarding.
IF YOU COULD DO ANY OTHER JOB IN THE WORLD, WHAT WOULD IT BE AND WHY?
Archeology! I enjoy understanding history and discovering missing pieces. Just love learning about new things, even down to the DNA and civilization of humans. It’s finding proof or the truth about history. There is so much we don’t know. When I was a kid I came upon some interesting things in the woods, like artifacts, that sparked my interest in history. I like to do my own research and dive pretty deep. I just don’t take anything at surface level.
IF YOU HAD TO EAT ONE MEAL FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
Lemon chicken rice. I guess you can call it a family recipe, but really it just tastes good!
PEOPLE WOULD BE SURPRISED IF THEY KNEW:
I like to go camping. Something about being able to slow down and just take in the scenery. But I don’t like the bugs!
ANY RANDOM FACTS YOU CAN SHARE WITH US?
I used to be an artist. A painter. Like I actually was paid to do portraits professionally. I don’t really do it at all anymore but I like using watercolor because it’s so delicate and smooth. It’s just easy to work with.
