WATERPROOF MEMBRANE APPLICATION WITH BLAST IT CLEAN
Is it possible to apply a water-tight layer on your surface? Could that prolong the life of your structure? The ability to prevent water leaks or damage on virtually any surface is a powerful tool. Blast It Clean can apply a tough waterproof membrane that still has the elasticity to move with your surface preventing future opportunities for water penetration.
WHAT IS A WATERPROOF MEMBRANE?
Waterproofing can be applied in a variety of methods and materials, but its purpose is to prevent moisture from damaging a surface. They consist of plastic, rubber, or coated fabric. They can be applied as cement-like, liquid, or sheet/film.

USES OF WATERPROOFING MEMBRANES
Waterproof membranes can be applied to horizontal and vertical surfaces. A widely used building component susceptible to deterioration is concrete and/or masonry. By understanding the weakness of this material, we are able to use a coating that restores the stability of the structure and protects it for prolonged use. Vertical walls constructed of concrete masonry units (CMUs) require a coating that is waterproof but is also breathable. This allows any interior moisture to escape without damage to the substrate. Horizontal concrete slabs require waterproofing from the top and bottom to protect from moisture from precipitation as well as what migrates upward from the ground.
Liquid membranes have grown in popularity for horizontal applications. Polyurethane elastomers are the most common material composition for a fluid-applied elastomer membrane. The temperature at the time of curing is very important because temperature-based applications are highly sensitive to major temperature fluctuations which could cause issues with end result. Liquid membranes are not removable or repositionable.
WATERPROOFING YOUR ROOFTOPS
Waterproof membranes are commonly applied to commercial properties and are a necessity when it comes to ensuring that your commercial space will not leak. There are a variety of ways that you can apply waterproofing solutions to your rooftop. Most commonly for us is a polyurethane liquid membrane application. It is typically rolled, sprayed, or troweled. With these methods, we can ensure you have a waterproof roof in a short period of time.
Polyurethane does not create joints, making it impossible for water to seep through. Last but not least, these waterproof membranes stretch up to 280% making it more flexible than other materials and able to withstand any shifting from a structure such as a high rise, steel structure, parking garage, etc.
BLAST IT CLEAN - WATERPROOFING MEMBRANE NATIONAL SERVICE PROVIDER
To ensure a seamless coating, Blast It Clean uses a sealant, like elastomeric polyurethane, on all the joints and extends the waterproof membrane on the adjacent surfaces where applicable.
