GAGE’S ROLE AT BLAST IT CLEAN
We welcomed Gage to Blast It Clean in 2023. This year was full of growth and new leadership, including the referral of Gage from one of our long standing crew members. Gage came from running a crew of his own and already had the leadership capabilities that we were looking for. For some, this can take months and even years to develop. At Blast It Clean, leaders work to ensure longevity and help challenge, grow, and develop individuals. Fortunately for us, Gage has proven to be a great asset to this mission and has helped in creating our positive workplace culture.

ARE YOU A HUNTER OR A GATHERER?
I would say that I am a hunter. I have an instinct to provide for my family.
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE YOUR PREVIOUS EMPLOYER IF YOU COULD?
There has to be accountability and it's honestly the worst part about being in leadership. It can be very uncomfortable but it has to be done in order to accomplish anything.
IF I GAVE YOU $100,000 TO START YOUR OWN BUSINESS, WHAT BUSINESS WOULD YOU START?
I wouldn’t necessarily start my own business. I would invest that money into a friend of mine's business. He makes freeze dried candy and is growing exponentially on Tik Tok. His company is called, “Freeze Dried Fanatics.”
IF YOU WERE A BICYCLE, WHAT PART WOULD YOU BE?
If I were a bicycle I would be the wheels. Whatever keeps it on the road and keeps it moving forward. Or is that the chain?
IF YOU WERE TO LAUNCH A NEW APP TODAY, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
I would create an all in one file downloader that doesn’t include ads.
HOW HAVE YOU FOUND OUR BUSINESS CULTURE TO BE?
Everyone is really hard working and it’s a company where if you put in the work you get results and validation pretty quickly.
HOW HAVE YOU ADVANCED PROFESSIONALLY SINCE JOINING OUR TEAM?
I’ve had to learn to work with my hands. In my old job, what I did was a basic skill set that didn't translate to what I do now.
WHO WOULD YOU SELECT AS A MENTOR HERE AT BLAST IT CLEAN IF GIVEN THE CHOICE, AND WHY?
Kenny [Operations Manager] is experienced and has great solutions. He’s given great advice and has good precedence. Tyler [The Other Operations Manager] has as well, so it could be either or really.
IN 5 YEARS, WHAT IS YOUR VISION AND HOPES?
I'd own my own house and continue to be growing in my career. Anything that keeps the family happy and the kids happy.
WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE HOBBIES OR INTERESTS OUTSIDE OF WORK?
I enjoy spending time with my family. My daughter plays basketball so a few months out of the year we are busy doing that.
WHAT IS THE MOST INTERESTING PROJECT YOU’VE WORKED ON HERE?
All Food processing facilities, like MARS, are always interesting. Seeing the engineering that is being done at some of these facilities and what humans have been able to come up with is impressive.
WHAT IS ONE THING THAT SURPRISED YOU ABOUT YOUR CAREER ROLE?
It is surprising how different your day can be and often without expectation. I’m used to working and managing the same crew so having different crew members on a job site each week is different.
