WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO APPLY TO BIC?
I was working at another job, and my friend Facetimed me while he was working here, and it was just the stuff he was doing and he was wearing a harness. So I asked him about it and I submitted an application.
WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 5-10 YEARS?
To be honest, I still see myself working here. I can’t really think that far ahead, but this is the best job I’ve ever had. Right now, I just wanna learn as much as I can.
WHAT DO YOU APPRECIATE MOST ABOUT WORKING HERE?
You’re not inside, you’re moving around and doing different things. You might be doing one thing one day and something totally different the next. You’re just learning so much, it’s amazing here I’m not gonna lie. People care here.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE TO DO IN YOUR FREE TIME?
Hang out with my kids. I have two boys, 10 and 5, and one more on the way.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE THING TO COOK?
My favorite thing to cook which I haven’t made successfully yet, is marry-me-chicken. I keep trying but something just doesn’t turn out right. I also like making chicken marsala with mushrooms.
IF YOU COULD SWITCH LIVES WITH ANY CELEBRITY FOR A DAY, WHO WOULD IT BE?
If it doesn’t have to be a celebrity, it would be someone in my past, my papa. At a young age, he taught me so much. He taught me how to manage money. He was a wise man. I want to make him proud.
IF YOU COULD ONLY LISTEN TO ONE ARTIST/BAND FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE, WHO WOULD IT BE?
There’s this California dude named Joe Blow I really like. Him or Bon Jovi.
WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE PLACE TO VISIT?
Anywhere on an out-of-town job. I’m tired of Kansas City.
IF YOU COULD PICK UP A NEW SKILL INSTANTLY, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
Money management. I just spend all my money on my kids. I see where the money is going and I feel good about that but managing money is hard. I’ve tried so many times but money just burns a hole in my pocket.
WHAT SURPRISED YOU MOST ABOUT WORKING HERE?
One thing that surprised me is how it’s up to you how much you want to work. You can’t say, oh someone else is the reason why I couldn’t pay rent this month. It’s left up to you. When I got into a bad habit, Kenny was the one who said something and asked if I was okay. I guess it was him just asking if I was okay and having this job, I instantly stopped that bad habit. I got too comfortable, and then something hit me. I stopped, and I feel good about that. I am not messing up this job.
