Employee Spotlight is a series intended to share a glimpse into our team. We hope that you can get to know us a little better.

LES’S ROLE AT BLAST IT CLEAN

Les is one of our most loyal and longstanding employees. He has been with Blast It Clean for 9+ years and is our go-to maintenance man. Les is dependable and always fixes things that need repair to keep our guys out in the field up and running. He is always willing to go the extra mile and help in different areas of our business to make it run more smoothly. He knows the ins and outs of our business and will drop everything just to help someone out who needs it here at BIC.

“Les is always reliable and our go-to Mr. Fix It.” He is a valued employee because of his versatile knowledge of our business and upbeat attitude.”

WHAT BROUGHT YOU TO BLAST IT CLEAN?

My sponsor was helping me to get sober. I worked here part-time painting and doing other work until Rick took over and hired me full-time. He helped me get out of the abandoned home I was living in and sober up.

WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT ASSET TO THE TEAM?

I am a hard worker and can do many different things that most guys can’t. I can shift around to different jobs and have been around long enough to learn when I don’t know something. Also when something breaks, I can usually figure it out and make it work.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE SOMEONE INTERESTED IN WORKING AT BIC?

Be prepared to work hard because there is no slacking around here. You must use many muscles to carry buckets and other heavy equipment. Each day is different and it can be a challenge sometimes to make it all come out nice but we try our best.

IF YOU COULD SUM UP BIC IN THREE WORDS WHAT WOULD IT BE?

Hard Working Crew.

WHAT IS YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH OUR COMPANY CULTURE?

We are like a family. We all work together to get things done.

WHAT IS THE BIGGEST LESSON YOU HAVE LEARNED WHILE IN YOUR ROLE AT BIC?

Don’t always trust the new part you put on being good. Even a new part doesn't always mean it’s a good one.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PROJECT OR MOST MEMORABLE PROJECT WITH BIC THUS FAR?

I enjoyed the project we did in the Capitol Building in Tulsa. It was pretty cool being able to be in a capitol building.

WHAT IS SOMETHING YOU ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT OUTSIDE OF WORK?

I like riding motorcycles with the wind hitting my face. It’s great to get away. You don’t have to worry about anything other than cars hitting you. I also like guns and being able to shoot.

WHO WOULD YOU SELECT AS A MENTOR IF YOU COULD CHOOSE ANYONE, AND WHY?

I learned a lot growing up from my dad when I was a kid. He was always out fixing something or working on something. I picked it up from him.

WHAT IS THE ONE THING YOU CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT?

Money, wife, and family.
